2012 Three Bridge Fiasco Shout Out!

Three Bridge Shout Out!

21 miles of course usually works out to about 40 miles over the bottom and likely only a few feet between us at the end of the long day. Always hard to sit there going around and around in the eddy off Angel Island or fighting in the relief at Red Rock thinking that you will never escape the gyre but if you stick with it and are on a Moore you have a great chance of winning this Fiasco. Can’t wait to see all of you bright and early Saturday off the City front for our kick off. Weather looks good and breeze is NE in the forecast right now so anything can happen…

Moore 24 Class Rules and Constitution Voting Results 2011

So the big news event... ended kinda the same as the way that Cain went down - well, the fizzle was the same, sans all the sluttyness!

The results from the vote on the proposed changes to the Constitution and the Class Rules will be posted to http://moore24.org/

Moore 24 Party Report 2011 #2

We had a ripper! For those in the Moore family who grew up and moved away, the auction/party was a blast and couldn’t have happened without all of the willing hands helping out. Also, big thanks to everyone near and far for opening your wallets to help out. We had a ton of wonderful items donated, the first round of the auction is done and I think that the second drawing is in May sometime.

Moore 24 Party Report 2011

The Ripper, that was a good story – well I thought so, fun to write and also fun to have been there.

The rare restraint and slightly uncomfortable feeling of not having a full crew assembled for 2012 has been resolved! Yay, Mark English co-owner of 106 Numa Boa stepped up to be the next SF Fleet Captain. Many thanks to his wife and family for giving him the green light to help out with the fleet, awesome. Mark is at english.mark.a@gmail.com

Rule Change 2011 - About the bolts

Please be aware that hull to deck bolts are required for the 2012 season going forward. I know that many of us have removed the toe rail either completely or in sections and with that some of our boats have sections of this joint that are unsuported by mechanical fasteners. Every other bolt (a bolt approx every 8") is required as a minimum and these bolts have to be 1/4 x 20 stainless. Some boats have flat heads that are countersunk while others have pan heads that sit on the deck.
